Samsung working on Windows Phone 8 Devices

Samsung is working on Windows Phone 8 devices with the codenames ‘Marco’ and ‘Odyssey’. With a close release of Windows Phone 8 which is close to the release of Windows 8, Samsung reveals some details about two new potential devices for Windows Phone 8, called ‘Marco’ and ‘Odyssey’. Samsung didn’t talk about these two devices in their official announcement. They were revealed in court as part of the ongoing legal battle with Apple. Both devices should run on Qualcomm’s MSM8960 chipset, which is a dual-core system clocking at 1.5Ghz.

Samsung states that the Odyssey is going to be an iconic smartphone with a 4.65inch super amoled display, along with HD resolution and a rear-facing 8 megapixel camera. Windows Phone 8 devices will feature Waller Hub and Tap+ features for quick transactions and information exchange.

The Marco device will come with a 4inch s-amoled display with a WVGA resolution and a 5-megapixel rear-facing camera. Both Windows Phone 8 devices will be LTE capable and will be launched somewhere in the fourth quarter of 2012.
